Kelly M. Godshall, president of The Godshall Group, has spent more than 35 years as an integral part of Central Ohio’s fund development and marketing scene. Starting out as corporate communications manager at Wendy’s International, Inc., where she worked side-by-side with company founder Dave Thomas, Godshall has developed a career that covers all the bases, including creatively telling an organization’s story, cultivating donor relationships and integrating marketing with fund development.

A hallmark of Godshall’s career includes extensive experience in the healthcare industry and non-profits, having held the position of director of public relations for Grant Medical Center, vice president of marketing Services for the Central Ohio Lung Association and director of marketing for Lutheran Social Services—all located in central Ohio. She also served as director of development for Recreation Unlimited, a nonprofit organization serving individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

In the retail arena, Godshall was director for The Mall at Tuttle Crossing and worked for an international commercial real estate brokerage firm as marketing manager. With her vast experience and professional knowledge, Godshall has become a sought-after national conference speaker and instructor.

She is a member of several professional organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Columbus Metropolitan Club and serves on several boards including The Breathing Association. She received her B.S. in Mass Communications from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and received additional education and coursework through The Ohio State University, New York University and The Problem Solving Institute in Buffalo, New York.
