CL125 Working with Faith-Based Institutions in Community Development
Churches, synagogues, mosques, and other faith-based institutions are an important part of a community. Oftentimes they offer leadership in rebuilding efforts and are willing to volunteer to help neighborhoods “come back” be cleaner, safer, and more attractive. Sometimes they may even be willing to donate money and resources, or to get directly involved in sponsoring events, building homes, creating jobs, and/or working to address other community concerns. Learn how faith organizations have been involved in other communities and see how you can engage them as helpful partners in your neighborhood.
