NR210el Ready for REDI: Integrating Race, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion in Community Revitalization

We cannot talk about neighborhood and community revitalization without looking at Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI). In fact, many of the most persistent challenges facing our communities – from poverty to housing instability, wealth inequality to food insecurity – exist specifically because of the way communities of color, women, folks with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people, among others, were blocked from equal access to basic necessities.

This course will look at the historical treatment of many communities and how it still affects opportunity. We will explore strategies for engaging under-served communities while also improving personal practices and your organization’s internal culture and look to affordable housing and community development REDI leaders.

This course is beneficial to anyone who is interested in improving how their organization and community intentionally invest in REDI.
