Expert available to discuss importance of credit scores in achieving homeownership goals — and how to boost yours

WHAT

As we approach the end of the year, facing uncertainty regarding our finances and whether we can stay in our homes, here's one action you can take: work on improving your credit score with a counselor. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) moratorium on evictions nationwide ends Dec. 31 and no one wants to lose their home and add to the wealth gap. Credit scores are up overall — for now — but thousands of people could lose their homes if ill prepared. Our expert can highlight the biggest mistakes people make regarding their credit scores, how to apply lessons learned from the 2008 housing crash, and financial tips to establish secure housing.
