Senior Vice President, Administrative Services and Facilities
As senior vice president of Administrative Services and Facilities, Tayna Frett is responsible for leading NeighborWorks America's administrative and facilities operational efforts and is a strategic thought partner in her area.

Frett had a very personal reason for joining NeighborWorks America in 2008. "I grew up in Brooklyn and Queens, and have seen, firsthand, neighborhoods that desperately needed revitalization. It's great to see some of these changes every time I go back home,'' she says. "It made me really relate to what NeighborWorks does and I wanted to be a part of it."

Frett's experience is diverse and spans more than 25 years in various administrative areas, including facilities, operations management and human resources. Throughout her career, she's worked for various organizations, both government and private, including law firms, educational institutions, architectural firms and nonprofits. She's also taught business courses on a collegiate level.

At NeighborWorks America, Frett and her team oversee office services, safety, OSHA, business continuity, sustainability efforts, office and space planning, and manages relationships with vendors, including travel management and supply companies. During her tenure at NeighborWorks, Frett has led major facility projects, including the relocation of NeighborWorks' D.C. office location twice. Her efforts with lease and office space management has saved the organization hundreds of thousands of dollars and improved overall space efficiency. Additionally, she started and mentors COAST, the Corporate Operational and Administrative Support Team at NeighborWorks America. This group is made up of more than 35 employees across the organization who function in administrative and operational management roles.

She has spoken on many panels and led classes and sessions on professional career management and women in leadership with an emphasis on African Americans. She also co-authored a book called "The Millennial Movement," which highlights the practical insight and guidance on today's professionals who are both transitioning into the corporate arena as millennials and those who are working with and for them.

A born and raised native of New York, Frett went to college in Alabama, attending both Oakwood and Faulkner University. She earned a bachelors degree in business administration and a masters in management. She also holds a certificate of diversity and inclusion from Cornell University.

Personally, she enjoys spending time traveling with her husband and boys and RV'ing across the country.
