Vice President, Real Estate Programs
As Vice President of Real Estate Programs, Lisa Getter is responsible for leading NeighborWorks America's national efforts to achieve corporate real estate goals. She provides subject matter expertise, strategic planning and national thought leadership. She also leads program development and management activities to align NeighborWorks' financial and technical resources to support NeighborWorks network organizations that actively develop multifamily and single family real estate.

Getter has more than 25 years of experience in affordable housing finance. Her most recent position at Fannie Mae was as a credit risk manager responsible for transaction management and making credit approval decisions for multifamily affordable housing (MAH) production. MAH is an annual $7 billion book of business for Fannie Mae and is a fundamental component of the enterprise's Duty to Serve requirements as set by the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Getter's housing experience is diverse, having held positions in Fannie Mae's American Communities Fund, single family, and multifamily mortgage businesses across an array of disciplines. Her roles in underwriting, asset management, business development, pricing, customer engagement and credit risk give her a comprehensive and cross-functional perspective of real estate finance.

Beyond her breadth of experience in Fannie Mae's core businesses, Getter is seasoned in corporate philanthropy, having managed Fannie Mae's highest capacity philanthropic partnerships during her tenure in their Community, Investment & Engagement division. She also had the opportunity to collaborate with NeighborWorks America and several affiliates in this role as a grant funder and as a member of the Scam Prevention Task Force during the housing crisis. Getter was also an underwriter at the Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), one of the country's largest CDFIs committed solely to investing in multifamily housing. She underwrote 5-50 unit rental properties throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley.

A New York City native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature from Dartmouth College and her Master of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
